Subject: A birthday treat
From the moment the audience sings "Happy Birthday to Robyn," this concert is one of Hitchcock's very best archived acoustic performances. His between-song banter, always a highlight, is especially sharp, incisive, funny, and the choice of songs--from a wonderful encore "Visions of Johanna" back to the opening acoustic version of "Adventure Rocket Ship"--is absolutely top notch. Warmth, hilarity, and real feeling, plus songs you can't stop humming. Really great.
